Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council
Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council meeting held at The Village Hall, West Street, Brant Broughton on Thursday 12th May 2022 at 7.30 pm.
Present: Cllr M George (MG) (in the Chair), Cllrs J. Salmon (JS), and K. Salmon (KS). There was one member of the public present.
MG welcomed all present
22/11: Apologies for absence : Cllrs Cain (KC), Dunning (PD) , Swain (SS) , Thornburn (PT) and Dist Cllr M Green.
22/12: Clerk asked for any Councillors wishing to Chair and nobody came forward so it was proposed by JS and seconded by KS that MG continue as Chair.
22/13: MG accepted the nomination and signed her Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
22/14: The Chair read out her report and a copy is attached to these minutes.
22/15: Clerk asked for any Councillors wishing to take Vice Chair and nobody came forward so it was proposed by MG and seconded by KS that JS continue as Vice.
22/16: JS accepted the nomination and signed her Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
22/17: Election of Councillors to various roles:
Church – KC Finance & grants - KS Communications - PT
School – MG Village Hall – JS Almshouses (KS – as Trustee)
HR – KS, PD and MG GDPR - Clerk
Assets: PD [Rectory Field], JS– Asset register and SS remaining assets inspection.
22/18: Review of Policy documents: Clerk and Councillors had reviewed our documents. Remote Access policy has mis-spelling of behaviour and Clerk to check the Publication Scheme format with LALC. Resolved to accept the amendments to the Grants Policy. All other documents accepted.
