Meeting of the Parish Council 

Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend a Meeting on Thursday 25th November at 7.30 pm 

The meeting will be held in the Village/Jubilee Hall on West Street, Brant Broughton.


Agenda

1.   Declarations of interest

2.   Public time to include County and District Councillor reports.  
  
3.   Apologies for absence. 

4.   Resolution to approve the Minutes of meeting held on 14th October.

5.   Highways – Overgrown vegetation cleared on footpath outside playing field?  Dog fouling signs coming. 

6.   Brant Broughton Flooding – Cllr Overton.

7.   Ginnel – West Street/Robinson Place – resolution as to whether to allow 23 West Street to incorporate the scrub strip into their land or to take responsibility for it.  Who is current housing association for bungalows?

8.   Village email circulation – resolution as to way forward.

9.   Trees – Cherry trees out of stock in this country.  Pearsons will contact me when trees come in.

10.   Defibrillator  – Cllr Swain is doing the monthly checks and Lesley is reporting to WebNos (CHT).

11.   Bus shelter – update by Cllrs Cain and  Swain.

12.   Planning – 21/1397 – Preschool – retain prefab building for further 5 years – approved.   21/1410 – 110 High Street, BB – tree works – approved. 

21/1448 – newbuild on land adjacent to 4 Coldrons Way – pending consideration;  21/1593 – tree works at 3 High Street, BB – approved.  21/1612 – Tree works at Playing Field – approved.  21/1633 - Tree works at 14A Church Lane – approved.

21/1550 – 6 poultry houses at Leadenham –resolution as to response.

13.   Queens Platinum Jubilee – any update by Cllr Swain.

14.   Village Hall – update following the VH AGM.

15.   Financial –   Resolve to sign Bank Reconciliation at 31.10.21.  Bank balance at 31.10.21    = £24,346.17.   Payments since last meeting:  Salary 346.04; BB PFA grant £293.00; Litter pick £300; Baby & Toddlers grant £127.10; Grass cutting £550; McAfee renewal £70.99; Bank charge £18; Hall hire £15; Primary school planters £75.55.

Resolve to approve Grant applications totalling £8,828.

Resolution to approve £30 towards clerk’s training for FILCA.

Resolution to agree budget/precept for 2022-2023.

16.   Meeting dates 2022 - circulate to Councillors.

17.   Date of next meeting – 13th January 2022.

There will be a closed session at the end of the meeting.  This will be in relation to employment matters and therefore members of the public will be excluded.
