Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend the Meeting on Thursday 14th January 2021 at 7.30 pm.

In accordance with regulations relating to COVID-19 this will be a virtual meeting using Zoom.

 

Members of the public are welcome to attend every meeting and time will be limited to 15 minutes in total.  ***see paragraph 2 for full instructions.

1.                   Declarations of interest

             2.                   Public time to include County and District Councillor reports *** Should any member of the public wish to attend the virtual meeting, you  must send an email to bbsparish@gmail.com at least 3 days prior to the meeting with your name and complete address for verification purposes.  If you wish to speak then please advise that you would like to speak at the meeting with an outline of the subject.  Please note that BBSPC complies with GDPR.  You will need to have your microphone muted during the meeting and the Chair will ask you to speak at the appropriate time, when it can be unmuted.

3.                   Apologies for absence.

              4.                   Resolution to approve the Minutes of meeting held on 26th November 2020.

              5.                   Passive Speed Watch signs – positioning has been suggested and request sent to Lincs CC but they will ultimately decide on the positioning.

              6.                   Highways – update on footpaths outside Broughton College and Spring Cottage.   Potholes along Mill Lane and at Meeting House Lane reported.

              7.                   Planning – 20/1127 – Creation of vehicular access and erection of gates at The Bothy – pending consideration; 20/1457 – new dwelling at 9 West Street – refused; 20/1461 – change of materials at New Grange, Sleaford Road – approved;       20/1488/1499/1516 – change of use and adoption of telephone kiosk – approved;     20/1538 – tree works at 112 High Street – approved; 20/1548 – new air source heat pump at Village Hall – pending consideration; 20/1603 – new car port at 101A High Street, BB – pending consideration; 20/1713 – tree works at 10 Meeting House Lane – pending consideration.

              8.                   Phone kiosk – planning approved and contract signed and returned to BT.  Apparatus will be removed by BT and lighting retained.  Discussion and resolution as to way forward with regard to refurbishment and installation of defibrillator, book swap and seed swap.   

              9.                   Christmas tree – any comments?

              10.              Grants – no change – confirmed at £9,454 for 2021/2022.   Consider and resolve whether to agree a £500 reserve for Queens Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

              11.              Financial –   resolve to agree Precept for 2021/2022   at £18,384.    Resolve to sign Bank Reconciliations at 30.11.20 and 31.12.20.   Bank balance at 31.12.20 = £18,888.71.   Payments since last meeting:  Salary and expenses £662.62; Bank service charge £18.    Resolution to agree change of Internal Auditor due to retirement of current one.
