Meeting of the Parish Council

Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend the Meeting on Thursday 23rd July 2020 at 7.30 pm

In accordance with regulations relating to COVID-19 face to face meetings are still not permitted so this will be a virtual meeting using Zoom.

Members of the public are welcome to attend every meeting and time will be limited to 15 minutes in total.  ***see paragraph 2

  1. Declarations of interest
  1. Public time to include County and District Councillor reports. *** Should any member of the public wish to attend the virtual meeting, you  must send an email to bbsparish@gmail.com at least 3 days prior to the meeting with your name and complete address for verification purposes.  If you wish to speak then please advise that you would like to speak at the meeting with an outline of the subject.  A link to the meeting will be e-mailed back.  Please note that BBSPC complies with GDPR.  You will need to have your microphone muted during the meeting and the Chair will ask you to speak at the appropriate time, when it can be unmuted.
  1. Apologies for absence.
  1. Resolution to approve the Minutes of meetings held on 5th March 2020 and 28th May 2020.
  1. Highways –vegetation over footpath at Welbourn Road/High Street; update on footpath at Spring Cottage, High Street; pavement outside Broughton House College; potholes on West Street outside village hall.  Update on meeting with Highways – 2nd August with MO.

Stopping up of Green Lane, Stragglethorpe – Court application adjourned due to Covid19.

  1. Land adjacent to Parish Field – gates now in position and payment made to supplier.  Query from parishioner regarding drain in corner of field – Anglian Water attended. Resolution as to any action required.
  1. Insurance – reviewed and renewed.
  1.  Planning – 20/0024 – tree works at Church – TPO to be served.

20/0191 – Spring Cottage – variation of plans – approved.

20/0241 – tree works at 55 High Street – approved.

20/0242 – tree works at Broughton House College – approved.

20/0253 – 18 High Street, BB – outbuilding and car port – approved.

20/0304 – tree works at 4 Meeting House Lane – approved.

20/0396 – tree works at Broughton House College – approved.

20/0522 – tree works at 21 Church Walk – approved.

20/0524 – tree works at 26/28 High Street – approved.

     

9.        Adoption of phone kiosk -   update on current position and resolution to go ahead.         Suggestions for use of kiosk once owned.  Consider how to deal with Listed Building consent.

10.    Procedural documents – review of all existing documents and consideration of new   Model Code of Conduct.

11.      Finance –

            Bank balance at 30.6.20 £25,798.87

             Resolution to sign income/expenditure/budget reconciliation for April, May and June.

             Payments since last meeting:

Salaries £1238.64; Bank chg £18; ICO sub £35; Insurance £254.79; Gates £850.99; Legal fees     £395.16; Grass cutting £500; Admin £108.26.

              Grants: Brownies £314.85; PFA £2667.41; PCC £1231.

              Community Infrastructure Levy received £911.25.

              Resolution whether to make donations to LIVES and Marie Curie.

12. Date of Next Meeting:    10th September 2020.

Resolution to go into closed session to discuss matters of a private nature.  All members of the public will be removed from the Zoom meeting.
