Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend a Meeting on Thursday 11th January 2024 at 7 pm

The meeting will be held in the Village/Jubilee Hall on West Street, Brant Broughton.

  1. Resolution to approve the Minutes of meeting  23rd November 2023.

 

  1. Information boards – update by Cllr K Salmon and Cllr S Swain.

 

  1. Highways  – no update on overgrown/dead hawthorn trees on verge near 114 High Street, BB despite chasing Fix My Street.

 

  1. Emergency Plan - any requirement for PC to create one – SS.

 

  1. Planning –

23/0887 – New dwelling at Guidford Yard, West Street – pending consideration.

23/1047 – Retrospective application for pergola at Generous Briton – pending consideration.

23/1065 – Replacement render at Brant House, Stragglethorpe – approved.

23/1120 – Extensions and alterations at 126 High Street, BB – approved.

23/1202 – 23 West Street – extension and skylight – approved.

23/1277 – Tree works at 110 High Street – approved.

23/1282 – Tree works at 3 High Street, BB – approved.

23/1307 – Application for Prior Notification re Demolitions at 32 High Street- pending consideration.

23/1316 – Demolition of conservatory and erection of garden room at 106 High Street- approved.

23/1336 – Tree works at 21 West Street - approved.

23/1400 – Application for Lawful Development certificate for use of Marshalls Mill -pending consideration.

23/1522 – Tree works at 12 Maltkiln Lane – pending consideration.

 

  1. Rectory field trees – update on idea of scattering wildlife seeds (SS).  Resolution as to which quote to accept for pollarding apple trees.

 

  1. Christmas tree on Village Green and Christmas lights for Rectory Field tree – Tree erected and looking great and lights on Rectory Field tree in place and working. Thanks to those who put the tree and  lights up.

 

  1. Cluster Meeting – any report from Cllr Early.

 

  1. Financial :

 

             Resolution to sign bank reconciliations as at 30.11.23 and 31.12.23.  Balance at

             31.12.23 is £20,740.20.
