AGENDA for Meeting of the Parish Council
Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend a Meeting on Thursday 26th March at 7.15 pm. The meeting will be held in The Village/Jubilee Hall on West Street, Brant Broughton.

The meeting will start with 15 Minutes of public time during which members of the public may raise any questions, and during which any District or County Councillors present may also provide any information they have.

3. Resolution to approve the Minutes of the meeting held on 26th February 2026.
4. Highways & footpaths – tree outside 42 West Street – LCC awaiting advice from arborologist. Update on any accidents on A17.
5. Planning:
25/1539 – New dwelling & garage at land to north of Meeting House Lane – pending consideration.
26/0098 – New sign at Church Yard, Stragglethorpe – pending consideration.
26/0141 – Demolition, extensions and new vehicular access – 100 High Street, BB – pending consideration.
26/0114 – retrospective application re Barns at Stragglethorpe - pending consideration – should go to Committee per Cllr Hagues.
6. Flood alarm system sites: further sites acknowledged.
7. Tree on village green: consider whether the tree where the branch came off requires an inspection by an arborologist.
8. New email addresses: awaiting information from Hugo Fox.
9. School PTA grant – we have recently paid this grant which was requested for cooking classes for the children. Cllrs George and J Salmon were invited to the school to see those classes in progress. Update by Chair/Vice.
10. Financial:
[a] Resolution to approve the bank reconciliation at 28.2.26
Bank balance at 28.2.26 = £13,257.88.
[b] Resolution to pay LALC Webmaster £108.00 for 5 hours.
