Meeting of the Parish Council
Members of Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe Parish Council are summoned to attend a Meeting on Thursday 7th August at 7.15 pm. The meeting will be held in The Village/Jubilee Hall on West Street, Brant Broughton.
The meeting will start with 15 Minutes of public time during which members of the public may raise any questions, and during which any District or County Councillors present may also provide any information they have.
1. Apologies for absence.
2. Declarations of interest
3. Resolution to approve the Minutes of the meeting held on 26th June 2025.
4. Information boards – update.
5. Highways & footpaths – Responses from LRSP and LCC Highways regarding traffic management at BB and Stragglethorpe, and mirrors on the verges on BB High Street. Resolutions as required.
6. Cluster meeting – Agree attendees at next meeting.
7. Planning:
25/0484 – New house to rear of 10 Guildford Lane – pending consideration.
25/0582 – Demolition of existing bungalow & erection of a replacement bungalow at Homestead Farm, Mill Lane – pending consideration.
25/0812 – New roof and fencing at Broughton House College – any objections?
8. VJ Day – anything required from PC?
9. Financial:
[a] Resolution to approve the bank reconciliations as at 30.6.25 and 31.7.25. Bank balance at 31.7.25 £23,402.30
[b] Signature of Cllr Early to new Bank Mandate.
[c] Resolution to pay LALC £54 for LALC Conference (Cllr Goodge)
[d] Resolution to pay CHT £162.00 annual maintenance cost.
[e] Resolution to agree backpay from 1.4.25 to 30.6.25 at £56.16.
10. Reminder to Councillors that any email contact with parishioners must be done through the Clerk.
