2023 Annual Parish Meeting

MINUTES of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Thursday 12th April 2023  at  7 pm in The Village Hall, Brant Broughton.

Present:  

Cllrs M. George, J. and K. Salmon, P. Dunning and A. Early.  There were 2 members of the public.

1. Apologies:  Cllr S Swain.

2. It was resolved to sign the Minutes of the APM held on 7th April 2022.

3. A member of the public said that a third table tennis table is required for use by the U3A – it will be housed in the village hall.  Grants are available but need the support of the PC.  We agreed that such support would be available.  If they wished to apply for a grant from the PC, then this should be done in September and funds would be available in April 2024.

We were asked whether village entrance gates could be installed in Brant Broughton as they are in Stragglethorpe.  It was thought that Highways had originally said there was no suitable position in BB but Clerk to look into this.  

A question was raised about an old Charitable Trust – this is in the process of being resurrected as the original Trustees have long since passed away.  The PC has to put forward a representative to go on as a trustee and this will be on the May agenda.  The Rector also has to be a trustee as well as a member of the PCC.
